Bridges are used for replacing a missing tooth or pair of teeth. They require a healthy natural tooth on either end for support. But in the instance of 3-4 missing teeth, the ceramic bridge can be supported by a pair of dental implants.

Do I Need a Dental Crown?

A full-coverage tooth crown, also known as a cap, is a protective restoration that covers the entire visible portion of a tooth above the gumline. Crowns are recommended when a tooth is unable to withstand normal wear and requires additional structural support.

They are often likened to a hat or helmet that fits over the tooth to provide protection.

Virtual scans improve patient comfort and restoration accuracy. Moreover, we can convert the digital impression directly into our backend milling equipment for same day restorations.

Types of Dental Crowns

Full metal crown: Full metal crown (FMC) is a metal crown that covers all surfaces of a tooth, including the occlusal surface, and is commonly used for posterior teeth. FMCs are suitable when esthetics is not a concern or when the patient is okay with the appearance of metal.

All ceramic crown: All-ceramic crowns are cosmetic dental restorations that cap or cover teeth. They are translucent and provide the most natural-looking tooth replacement. Only all-ceramic crowns possess this unique translucency.

Metal ceramic crown: Metal ceramic crowns are a traditional type of crown that have been used since the 1950s. They consist of a metal core with porcelain bonded to it. Metal ceramic crowns have a good track record and are generally less expensive than all-ceramic crowns.

Zirconium crowns: Zirconia is a relatively newer material used in dental restorative treatments. It is a type of ceramic, specifically zirconium oxide, known for its strength compared to porcelain and some metal alloys. Zirconia crowns are less likely to develop sharp edges from normal wear and tear over time
